Privacy policy
Get Cited Local collects the minimum it needs to run your scan, deliver what you paid for, and answer you. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we collect, and why

Who processes it
- OpenAI runs the research. It receives the business name, trade and area, and the questions we generate. It does not receive your email or contact details.
- Stripe handles payment. Its own privacy policy applies to what you enter at checkout.
- Resend sends our email, including your scan or report PDF.
- Vercel hosts the site and the scan service.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the free scan form was sent by a person, not a script. Cloudflare sees your IP address and basic browser signals for that check.
- Upstash holds the free scan's usage counters (hashed IP and email, not readable addresses) and a copy of your scan result for 24 hours, so a repeated request shows the same result instead of running and emailing it again.
- Google Sheets and GitHub hold our order and enquiry records and build paid reports. Both are private to us.
Each of these receives only what it needs for its job. None of them is permitted to use your details for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies of our own and run no advertising trackers. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports aggregate numbers (pages, referrers, countries, device types), not individuals. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
How long we keep it
Scan and order records are kept while we may still owe you something under them (the 48-hour delivery window, the 30-day re-scan, or an active monthly subscription) and for our accounting afterwards. Report files built for paid orders are deleted from our build system after 30 days. Free scan usage counters and the saved copy of a free scan result expire on their own after about a day. Email us and we will delete your enquiry and scan records on request, unless we are required to keep a payment record.
Your choices
- Email hello@getcitedlocal.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
- Clear your browser's site data for getcitedlocal.com to remove the visitor ID and remembered email.
- Every email we send comes from a real inbox; reply to it to reach a person.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
